USO Las Vegas raises $27,683 during Military Appreciation Month Campaign
Local USO Las Vegas Sponsors Hudson Group, Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill, R.E.D. Tavern Group, Liquor Library, Sam’s Clubs, Chrysler Chapman Jeep, and the Las Vegas Review Journal each held fundraising/donation campaigns throughout the month of May in all of their southern Nevada locations to support USO Las Vegas’ mission of “strengthening America’s service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their service to the nation.”
On Friday, June 24, 2016, Crazy Pita, Hudson News, and R.E.D. Tavern Group presented USO Las Vegas with over-sized checks; while as a token of appreciation, USO Las Vegas presented each company with a certificate of appreciation for their support.
In total, the 7 sponsors raised $27,683 and more than $10,000 in donated supplies to support programs and services at USO Las Vegas.
“We can’t thank all of our sponsors enough to help raise awareness and funds for our local military community,” said Tim Mullin, USO Las Vegas Center Director. “There are 32,000 military families currently stationed in Southern Nevada and these funds will help us create a home away from home and sense of community for many of them.”
